Check-In


3 PM to 7 PM  (Eastern Time Zone)

Advance notice is required to check in before 3 PM or after 7 PM; additional fees may be required.

 

Check-out


11 AM  (Eastern Time Zone)

Check-out is before or at 11 AM. Additional fees will be assessed for extending check-out times.


Guests may purchase a late checkout during the reservation process. The fee is $40 per room and allows for a 1:00 PM check-out time. This fee in non-refundable.

 

The Culver Cottage is a very small owner-operated facility. We use the hours between 11 AM check-out and 3 PM check-in to clean, perform maintenance, and run errands. Please understand that we cannot accommodate most requests for late check-out or early check-in.

 

Daily Service


We reserve the right to perform a daily service between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM.

During this time staff may make beds, remove trash, and adjust lights and temperature.

Fresh linens available by request only.

 

Breakfast


Breakfast is served continental style between the hours of 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM.

Food and dishes are not to be taken to the rooms for sanitary reasons. Cooking in the rooms is not allowed at any time. If an overnight guest would like to invite an outside guest for breakfast it can be accommodated in most circumstances. Please prearrange this with the staff--a breakfast charge will be added to the guest’s bill at the time the request is authorized.


 

Quiet Hours


Quiet hours begin at 10 PM for the comfort of all guests.

 

Early Departure


If you leave before the scheduled departure date or if you do not show for your reservation, you will be charged for the full amount of your initial reservation. Reducing the number nights is considered the same as a cancellation and you will be subject to the same policy. Any minimum night stay requirement will still apply.

 

Minimum Night Stays


Reservations for holidays, special events, and most weekends require a stay of multiple nights.

Reservations


The online reservation system will charge your credit card $60.00 as a non-refundable deposit or to hold the reservation until full payment is received. The balance must be paid by cash, check, money order, or wire transfer within 14 days to avoid cancellation. Complete mailing instructions for your payment will be e-mailed to you upon completion of your online booking.

 

Reservations are non-transferable in whole or in part.

 

Occupancy


All room rates for the Inn accommodate up to 2 occupants. Each additional occupant up to a room's maximum occupancy will incur a charge of $20.00 per night.


Reservations may not include more people than a room's maximum occupancy. Guests arriving with additional people (regardless of age) will be held to the maximum occupancy and will be responsible for the full room rate regardless of whether they choose to stay.

 

Cancellations


  1. Cancellations providing more than 30 days notice will be refunded minus a $60.00 cancellation fee per room.
  2. Cancellations providing between 30 and 14 days notice will be refunded minus the first night stay per room.
  3. Cancellations providing less than 14 days notice are considered non-cancellable and non-refundable.


All cancellations must be submitted in writing, by email or letter, 14 days or more before your scheduled arrival. Your reservation will automatically cancel if payment is not received. Please e-mail cancellations to info@inculver.com. No phone cancellations please.

 

As a small owner-operated hotel, we rely heavily on advanced reservations and cancellations affect us greatly; therefore, we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. Please notify us as soon as possible if your reservation needs to be changed or cancelled.

 

Refunds


No refunds are given after check-in. Any refunds made will be sent within 15 days after the scheduled event. Absolutely no refunds for cancellations less than 14 days before the scheduled arrival. All cancellations will incur a fee of no less than $60.00 per room. Some refunds may be in the form of a credit for The Culver Cottage.

 

Refunds are always at the discretion of The Culver Cottage.


Smoking


The Culver Cottage is a 100% smoke-free environment indoors and on the grounds.

Candles and incense are also prohibited. We ask that guests please adjust their habits accordingly. Non-compliance will result in fines and you will be asked to leave and forfeit the balance of your reservation.

 

Behavior


Unlawful and unacceptable activities will result in an immediate request to leave without refund. Law enforcement will be summoned if appropriate. Unlawful and unacceptable activities include, but are not limited to: underage drinking, use of illegal substances, and excessive drinking or partying.  It is The Culver Cottage’s policy that all our guests have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. As a responsible host we have a duty to protect our guests from behavior that will negatively impact their stay.

 

Children


Well-mannered children of any age are allowed as guests.

To ensure the comfort of all our guests, as well as child safety, we expect parents to be respectful, monitor their children at all times, and correct their children if they become noisy or unruly. Main Street Inn has no childcare facilities or baby gear such as cribs or high chairs on the premises and is unable to provide extra beds or such equipment. All children regardless of age will be included in the room's occupancy count and are subject to charges. At no time and under no circumstances is anyone under the age of 18 allowed to be left unaccompanied on the premises.


 

Keys


We provide a safe and secure environment for guests by carefully maintaining our inventory of keys. To this extent, we ask that you return all keys at check-out. Should you lose or take keys with you at check-out you will be charged a fee to re-key the room and make new keys.

 

Items Left Behind


We only return items left behind if they are requested. This protects the privacy of our guests. Please call or email as soon as you identify something as missing. Due to rising mailing costs and the large number of items left by our guests, we ask that you be prepared to cover shipping costs with a credit card number when you call. Please be patient in receiving your item. It can take up to three weeks before we are able to ship lost items. Thank you for your understanding.
